Glen Barber announced the release of FreeBSD Alpha 1.
The official announcement says:
The first ALPHA build of the 10.0-RELEASE release cycle is now available on the FTP servers for the amd64, i386, ia64, powerpc, and sparc64 architectures.
Nothing more.
In the FreeBSD Wiki there are many information about this first Alpha:
- GCC is no longer built as part of the base system,
- Raspberry Pi support,
- General ARM improvements,
- Support for AMD GPUs kernel-modesetting,
- Kernel, hardware support & other low level improvements
- Etc.
